The 2023 Junior Canoe Polo Championships took place during 27 to 30 July 2023.
There were 6 competition categories:

Competition Format 2023
U23
14 teams, 2 leagues - 2 groups of 7. Top 6 teams then play in a Gold League. Bottom 8 teams then play in a Silver League - 4 in Silver Odd and 4 in Silver Even. Top 2 teams in Silver Odd and Silver Even play for 1st/2nd (Silver League). Next 2 teams play for 3rd/4th (Silver League). Next 2 teams play for 5th/6th (Silver League). Final 2 teams play for 7th/8th (Silver League). Top 2 teams in Gold League play in a final for 1st/2nd Place. Remaining places in the Gold League are decided on league position.
U18
12 yeams, 2 leagues - 2 groups of 6. Top 6 teams then play in a Gold League. Bottom 8 teams then play in a Silver League. Top 2 teams in Gold League play in a final for 1st/2nd Place. Remaining places in the Gold League are decided on league position. All places in the Silver League are decided on league position. There is no Silver Final.
U16
14 teams, 2 leagues - 2 groups of 7. Top 6 teams then play in a Gold League. Bottom 8 teams then play in a Silver League - 4 in Silver Odd and 4 in Silver Even. Top 2 teams in Silver Odd and Silver Even play for 1st/2nd (Silver League). Next 2 teams play for 3rd/4th (Silver League). Next 2 teams play for 5th/6th (Silver League). Final 2 teams play for 7th/8th (Silver League). Top 2 teams in Gold League play in a final for 1st/2nd Place. Remaining places in the Gold League are decided on league position.
U14
15 teams, 3 leagues - 3 groups of 5. Top 8 teams then play in a Gold League. Bottom 7 teams then play in a Silver League. Top 2 teams in Gold League play in a final for 1st/2nd Place. Remaining places in the Gold League are decided on league position. All places in the Silver League are decided on league position. There is no Silver Final.
U21W
4 teams, 1 league - 1 group of 4. Top 2 teams play in a final for 1st/2nd Place. Remaining places in the League are decided on league position.
U18W
6 teams, 2 leagues - 2 groups of 3. Top 2 teams in their leagues play in a final for 1st/2nd Place. Remaining places in the League are decided on league position, based on points, goal difference etc.
